Humble Ingredients of Design-Led Intrapreneurship

This talk reflects on a creative intrapreneurial journey of building a design-led practice within a large Indian organization.

It explores leadership without titles, responsibility at scale, and an aspiration for Indian design to be recognized globally for its purpose, quality, and a vocabulary of its own. (None of that is jugaad.)

अ से क्ष तक, Through the (Letterform) Looking Glass

In another moment, let us step through the glass, where scripts are designed, not improvised. Form follows function, letterforms belong to systems, and clarity is deliberate. A glimpse into what a lived, shifting, contemporary Indian experience looks like and a shared hope for a new visual landscape.

Material Minutes Mass - The 3M Challenge

In a screen-driven world of taps and scrolls, this workshop invites participants to pause and rediscover the joy of making with their hands. Inspired by how our ancestors created play from simple materials, it encourages tactile exploration, experimentation, and hands-on problem-solving. Through collaborative making, participants build creativity, teamwork, communication, and time management—learning through play.

Design Leadership Beyond Speed and Scale

Sean Carney and Simona Maschi invite design leaders into a practical, business-oriented discussion on how design leadership is evolving as AI reshapes speed, scale, and execution.

Rather than focusing on AI technology, the session examines what AI changes on the human side of design: how leaders frame problems, set direction, motivate teams, and define value when automation and optimisation become default. As AI increasingly takes over execution, design has the opportunity to move upstream. The leadership challenge shifts from how fast teams can deliver to how problems are framed, decisions are made, and value is shaped amid uncertainty and complexity.

Through short provocations and facilitated peer dialogue, participants will surface real organisational tensions—speed versus depth, efficiency versus meaning, optimisation versus long-term impact. The focus is not on tools or methods, but on leadership choices. The session is intentionally conversational and peer-driven. Participants will leave with clearer language and sharper questions to position design as a strategic leadership capability, using AI to free up human attention for sense-making, responsibility, team play, and passion.
