Narendra Ghate is an Executive Vice President at HDFC Bank, leading Design across one of India’s most complex digital banking ecosystems. He has been instrumental in building the bank’s design function and establishing a unified design system across consumer, wealth, payments, and internal platforms. His portfolio spans mobile and net banking, Wealth, MyCards, SmartBuy, and key internal applications for branches and agents, and he currently leads the bank’s AI design framework. Prior to HDFC Bank, he spent over 25 years at Tata Elxsi, where he helped build and scale multiple design practices including Automotive, UX, Research, and Service Design. He is a Distinguished Alumnus of IDC, IIT Bombay, and holds an executive MBA from IIM Bangalore.
